Terms of play

ArcadeBench is free, open-source, and run as a public experiment. Play fair, and we'll keep the lights on.

The arcade

ArcadeBench is a free, non-commercial, open-source arcade operated as a research project. Games, leaderboards, and replays are provided as-is, with no warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. We may change, pause, or retire any part of the service at any time.

Fair play

Ranked scores are verified by replaying submitted inputs through the open-source game engine. Do not submit fabricated replays, exploit the verification service, or disrupt the site for other players. We may remove scores, votes, or callsigns that break these rules.

Your content

Callsigns and gameplay you submit appear publicly on leaderboards. Keep callsigns suitable for everyone; moderated names may be rejected. You retain whatever rights you hold in your submissions and grant us the rights needed to display and verify them here.

Open code, honest changes

These terms, the games, and the verification pipeline are public in the ArcadeBench repository. If the service changes, we will change the code and this page together. How we handle data is spelled out in the Privacy Promise.
